Denver Porcelain Veneers

Denver Porcelain Veneers Dentist

Porcelain veneers in Denver essentially provide a “mouth makeover.” Thin wafers of porcelain (approximately the thickness of a fingernail) are bonded to the front of the teeth and also mimic their structure. The teeth are shaved slightly to provide the necessary space, but the reduction is minimal and it does not result in any tooth damage.

Many people prefer the porcelain veneers to other methods of whitening their teeth. The main reason is simple. Because your dentist is basically designing a new look for your mouth, you can pick which shade of white that you desire. Bleaching and other cosmetic whitening products leave you guessing as to what shade your smile will be. In addition to the new white smile, you can even alter the shape of the teeth to achieve the optimal look.

Dallas porcelain veneers do provide a desired appearance, but they also accomplish much more than just improving your smile. Worn or chipped teeth can be fixed and protected from further damage just as easy as veneers hide stained teeth. Veneers can close gaps between teeth, or even lengthen disproportionate teeth. Sometimes porcelain veneers can be used as an alternative to braces. This “instant orthodontic” method can straighten teeth in as little as two appointments rather than the typical one to three years. Because porcelain is harder than enamel, the veneers are resistant to wears, as well as discoloration, to protect your teeth and their appearance for years to come.

Denver Invisalign Solutions

Denver Invisalign

Invisalign is a type of clear, removable series of teeth aligners that many dentists use today as an alternative to metal braces. More than 48,000 dentists and orthodontists worldwide are trained to provide Invisalign treatments.

Many people prefer the look of “invisible” braces verses the look and feel of bulky metal brackets. The process to get straighter teeth is simple and requires only one set of impressions. These impressions are used to create a 3-dimensional projection of how the teeth will move when wearing the aligners. The Denver Invisalign dentist can then create a series of custom-made aligners that are specially designed for your mouth and teeth.

Once the aligners are sent to the dentist, they will typically give the patient 1 or 2 aligners every 4 to 6 weeks at each check-up appointment in Denver. Each aligner must be worn for a period of two weeks before moving to the next aligner. During this time, the aligners will slowly shift the teeth into place while straightening. Typically, an Invisalign treatment may require about 20 to 30 aligners for the upper and lower set of teeth.

Invisalign can be removed while eating, drinking, brushing and flossing. In order to successfully reposition the teeth, the aligners need to be worn at least 20 hours a day. Much like traditional braces, Invisalign helps many aspects of teeth alignment. They can be used for many conditions such as crowding, skeletal malocclusions, rotated teeth, under or over bites, teeth that are tipped and those with missing teeth.

Invisalign is currently approved for use in teenagers and adults. How long you wear the aligners depends on the severity of the teeth and how well you follow the directions for treatment.
